Some Things That Have Happened (Summer 2012)

The Feder girls dressed in red, white, and blue and attended a special July 4th dinner at Bob Evans. It turns out they don't have fireworks there.

Lauren matched her eye makeup to her outfit.

There was a lot of crafting at Starbucks.

Spencer's April-May Videoblog

I made another one! This one's from April 8th to May 13th. It's been a month (ish) filled with guitar and reading and tea and my cat, Josephine, and not that much else, and what else is new?

Anyway, I hope you had a really great month (ish), filled with things you love as much as I love guitar and reading and tea and my cat, Josephine.

Spencer's Beginning of March Videoblog

I've had so much fun this March, videoblogging every day. I started on Leap Day and this video ends on the 17th because the video couldn't be longer than 10 minutes (and also I'm not sure who would watch a video of my life for more than 10 minutes), but I definitely plan to have a part 2 to the video starting on the 18th and continuing from there.

More than anything, this experience has brought the patterns in my life to light. From the video above, it is clear that all I really do is drink hot drinks, play guitar, read, and have a cat.  But, hey, is that so bad?

Maybe in the next vlog segment I'll do A LOT of bungee jumping. Stay tuned!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed joining me for the first two thirds of March and I, for one, cannot wait to see what happens next in the glorious short film series that is my life.

Some Kind of Bowling Pun

My family went to a bowling birthday party. Our friend Brittany turned 17! I suppose I could have changed the title before publishing this post.

My January 2012 Favorites

Oh my, I've probably had four cups of tea every day of January.  I didn't always like tea, and then a few years ago I started drinking chai tea, but now I really love most kinds. My favorites are:

-Twinnings English Breakfast tea (with milk and sugar is great, or just on its own)
- Celestial Seasonings Chai Tea (with a splash of soy milk)

Also, Jammie Dodgers are the British jam-filled sandwich cookies (biscuits) in the picture, and they are in the ethnic foods aisle at the grocery store, and they are so wonderful with tea.

These slippers are from Sam's Club and I love them. Okay I found the website. Here's the link. They were a lot less expensive at Sam's Club. The brand is Dearfoams except maybe all the letters are supposed to be lower case. It seems that way. Their slogan is "make yourself comfortable." In conclusion, check out your local Sam's Club for some Dearfoams slipper boots. Unless you don't have a Sam's Club card (or a Sam's Club near you, for that matter) because that would end up being far too expensive and too much trouble for some very comfortable slippers. I mean, they're great, but I suppose you can find slippers at a variety of locations, or go without completely. What a sad existence, though, to be without slippers.

Project #19: Make Macarons

I made macarons last night! I've always wanted to, but I assumed the process was complex and difficult because they're sold for $2 each at French bakeries.

As it turns out, I can make macarons at home! (And you can, too!)

This is a picture of my sisters and me that I took with the flash on, so we're all desperately trying to keep our eyes open. I think the project was a success.

Feder Adventures

This is what we did on 12/17/11! It was a fun day, and you know what makes a fun day look like an absolutely spectacular day? Videotaping it and adding upbeat music! I hope you enjoy pretending to be a Feder for two minutes and four seconds!

My Trip to Chicago

I took a trip back home to Chicago for the weekend.

I found rainbows in places I forgot I could.

The cool thing about the midwest is that when it's autumn, you can tell when you look out your window.

Project #1: Carve a Pumpkin

Dear readers,

Today I did a lot of laundry. I did the dishes and worked on a song I was writing. I played with my cat and I went to a guitar lesson and then, I made my October dreams come true.
